Right after the event in Italy, Michael was invited to demonstrate his exceptional watercolour techniques at the Light Water Color Festival at Torres Vedras in Portugal. The event, organized by the prestigious International Watercolor Society (IWS), featured select few painters from around the world who gathered to showcase their work and exchange ideas on current and future watercolour trends.

Michael’s style of watercolour painting highlights the effervescent and unexpected properties of watercolour through quick, efficient and perfectly placed brush strokes. His control over light and colour captures his subjects accurately and expressively, drawing full attention to the textures and blending unique to the medium. In addition to this, his skills combine precise lines and vibrant colours with happy accidents to create fantastic watercolour artwork!
